McLane Lawn Edgers

With the mowing season fast approaching, it is time for you to make sure that you have everything you need to take care of your lawn and that it is in good working order.  One thing you will need for sure (besides a lawn mower) is some sort of lawn edger.  After many years of experience with many different types of lawn edgers, if you need a lawn edger or if you want to upgrade to a walk-behind edger, I can wholeheartedly recommend that you get a McLane walk-behind lawn edger.  I have personally used McLane edgers for over 25 years and have been extremely pleased with their performance.

The McLane 101 and McLane 801 edgers give you everything you want in a lawn edger.  First, they have a powerful Briggs & Stratton 550 series engine which provides you with a gross torque of 5.50  and a horsepower of 3.5.  The only difference between the McLane Models 101 and 801 is that the McLane 101 has 7 inch wheels and the McLane 801 has 8 inch wheels.  Second, both models come with the safety features that you definitely want in your lawn edger.  Most importantly, the edger gives you the ability (without turning off the edger) to disengage the edger blade so it will stop spinning.  Plus, the edger has a metal cover guard over most of the cutting blade as well as a rear debris shield to keep dirt,  grass, and rocks from being “kicked” to the rear by the spinning cutter blade. Third, it is gas-powered so you don’t have to fool with moving an electrical cord around with you when you edge like you do with electrical-corded edgers.  Fourth, it is a walk-behind edger, and my years of experience have taught me that no other type off edger gives you as nice a “grass edge cut” as a walk-behind edger does.  Other edgers don’t even come close!  Fifth, the McLane edgers can be switched very easily to a horizontal cutting “trimmer” if you want to use the edger as a “trimmer” for places on your lawn which are too just small to get your regular lawn mower into to mow.  Plus, you can set the edger’s cutting blade at an angle if you want to create an angled grass cut.  And these are just some of the great features that McLane edgers have.

I really cannot say enough nice things about McLane edgers!   A McLane edger can help make your lawn the “best looking lawn in the neighborhood”!  Click here to read more detailed information on the McLane 101 and 801 lawn edgers.
